Share Economy Entrepreneur and Real Estate Investor Join Forces to Launch rent24, Germany’s Largest Co-Working and Co-Living Project

Berlin 13th Jun 2016 – On 15th of June 2016 rent24 will launch their first co-working space in Berlin, followed shortly after by the opening of the innovative co-living concept in the same building. More locations across Germany to follow.

Responding to professionals changing need for innovative workspaces, rent24 is looking to provide both work and living spaces for the future. Situated in Berlin’s City Center, rent24’s new building has 6,500 square meters of space and is the first location in a national roll-out reaching all major cities in Germany and eventually across Europe.

The impressive success of WeWork, an American company which provides shared workspace, has fueled the development of the rent24 project. Learning from their success and what can be improved upon, all rent24 properties are owned by shareholders rather than relying on long-term rental contracts. In addition, co-living, the logical complement to the popular shared office solution, will also find its space in the locations and provide a flexible solution for short to mid-term accommodations.

“Co-working and co-living is booming,” says Robert Bukvic, co-founder and CEO of rent24. “Companies of all sizes are becoming increasingly aware of the potential of shared space. rent24 has a clear competitive advantage since our shareholders own our buildings and we are not bound by the limitations of rental contracts.”

Members are connected in the spaces through a central technology platform, events, and workshops allowing them to extract maximum value from the rent24 network as well as become a part of its identity. The resulting synergy will accelerate demand for rent24 and its locations key drivers of local start-up ecosystems in all the selected markets.

rent24 is planning further shared co-working and living spaces in Berlin, Hamburg, Frankfurt, Munich, and Amsterdam. All types of professionals will benefit from the shared space and collaborative eco-systems. Exciting events and interaction between all members will shape the rent24 experience in order to help grow members’ businesses. For more information, visit rent24.com.
