Berlin, 01 February 2019: The Kurfürstendamm becomes a startup hotspot. On the world-famous boulevard in the west of Berlin rent24, a leading global coworking and coliving provider, is opening another location in the capital. Directly in the heart of the City West, on the former Kudamm-Karree, today known as FÜRST, modern and highly flexible workplaces with a very special atmosphere are being created over a total area of approx. 9,500 square meters. At Kurfürstendamm 208, the ensemble of individual coworking areas and lounges, private offices and extensive event areas will be complemented by an absolute highlight: a rooftop terrace with a view across the city. The perfect backdrop for networking whilst enjoying a cocktail after work.

Berliner Robert Bukvić, founder and CEO of rent24, is delighted to be represented in this famous spot, saying: “I was born and raised here and have witnessed the transformation of the city with my own eyes. City West has been overlooked in recent years and is now experiencing a bit of a comeback. The district is opening up, becoming more creative and attracting more people again.”

CELLS, the owner of the complex, wants to breathe new life into the once lively place and believes it has found the right partner in the global company: “As an innovation driver and a very versatile and dynamic company, rent24 fits perfectly into the fresh concept”, explains Norman Schaaf, COO of the CELLS Group. “This also benefits all the other tenants of the property, for example by offering additional event and conference rooms.”

Besides various shops, restaurants, a hotel and a theatre, a gym and a daycare centre are planned here as well. “Modern employees have high expectations”, says Bukvić. “Which is why we want to create the best possible conditions for both individuals and companies. Our members not only enjoy the flexibility and feel-good atmosphere at the workplace but can also benefit as part of a growing community of new contacts, learning from one another and developing synergies. Team spirit and mutual growth are becoming increasingly important, where can you exchange better than on a spectacular roof terrace with a view of all Berlin?”
